Question 4

How long does it take to get a green card through Island Certs Corporation?

Accepted Answer

The employer-sponsored green card process has three main stages: PERM labor certification with the DOL (6–18 months), I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS (4–6 months, or 15 days with premium processing), and adjustment of status or consular processing. Island Certs Corporation's median PERM processing time from filing to decision has been 224 days. For applicants from countries with visa backlogs like India and China, the wait for a visa number after I-140 approval can add years. The total timeline from start to green card is typically 1–5+ years.

Question 5

What is Island Certs Corporation's green card commitment?

Accepted Answer

Island Certs Corporation's green card commitment rate is 20%, calculated by dividing the number of PERM green card filings by the number of new H-1B employment and transfer positions. A higher percentage indicates the company is more likely to sponsor employees for permanent residency rather than keeping them on temporary work visas.
